Welcome to our Luminous Vietnam photo tour! This is our latest addition to our Southeast Asia photo tour series, and one we are quite excited about.

Why Vietnam? Simple – it’s one of the most culturally fascinating and photogenic lands on earth, with great extremes and contrasts for all types of photographers to take advantage of. In short, it’s opportunities are luminous!

It’s only fitting then, that the journey be designed & led by one of the planet’s foremost travel photographers, multi-major award winner and National Geographic contributor, David Lazar. David is more than just an outstanding photographer and experienced photo tour leader – he’s also a joy to travel and make pictures with. His photo tours are relaxed yet focused, and he always puts his guests’ image making in front of his own. He and his brilliant and fun loving Vietnamese team mate, Nguyen Vu Phuoc, as well as our logistics whiz Diep van, will always effort to have you on location at the right time of day for the best available light for a particular shoot. There will be a mix of free shooting and arranged photo shoots, with both impromptu and professional models.

For those interested, David is more than happy to offer ongoing image review, and his Photoshop and Lightroom tutorials are outstanding. So please have a look at the highlights, itinerary and cost for June 15 – 29, 2016 below, and let us know if you have any questions.

French photographer Rehahn teams with Luminous Journeys Vietnam photo tourNational Geographic contributor Re’hahn has been kind enough to offer Luminous Journeys participants his time and expertise in his adopted home town of Hoi An, which happens to be a very photogenic World Heritage site. The amiable and celebrated French photographer will spend a half day with the group. It starts with a long lunch where he will be more than happy to talk about his personal Vietnam experience, his photography and his cutting edge marketing – which is essential to any emerging photographers looking to find their way in this extremely competitive and ever changing business. Then Re’hahn will lead the group to some of his favorite subjects and shooting locations around Hoi An – which is an experience not to be missed! Photo Right – Réhahn
